No, all of our vehicles are below 3.5 tonne and can therefore be driven under a normal car licence. You must have a manual licence if you are hiring a manual Motorhome.

For our 4 & 6 berth Motorhomes we are able to insure drivers aged between 25 and 75 who have held a full licence for at least 2 years (Drivers between 75-79 £1500 excess applies).

For our 4 berth Campervan we are able to insure drivers aged between 30 and 75 who have held a full licence for at least 2 years (Drivers between 75-79 £1500 excess applies).

Two, 3 point convictions are acceptable (i.e. 2x SP30’s, 3pts each) without referral.

Single 6 point SP30, SP50 and CU80 are acceptable subject to an additional £1000 excess.

All other 6 points+ offences MS90, IN10, CU80, CD will require referral to the insurers.

Any ban or disqualification will require referral to the insurers.

You can have as many drivers as you wish! All drivers must complete the licence checks prior to hire and sign the rental agreement. The designated main driver is fully responsible for the Security deposit.

There is a refundable security deposit which can be payable by credit or debit card at the time of collection or by bank transfer or cheque two weeks prior to hire. This must be paid using a card or account in the name of the main driver. This covers the insurance excess and any damages/breakages which occur whilst you are on hire. The full security deposit will be returned upon return of the undamaged vehicle & contents. Please note. The refundable security deposit is increased to £1,500 for festival use.

No. The vehicle insurance is included in the cost of the hire. In order to qualify the following criteria and documentation must be met.

DRIVER & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Drivers must be between 25 – 79 (75-79 £1500 excess applies) for our 4 & 6 berth.
Drivers must be between 30 – 79 (75-79 £1500 excess applies) for our 4 berth.
All drivers must have held a full UK or EU driving license for at least 2 years in respect of a motor vehicle. Where “automatic entitlement only” is shown or applied to a driving license, then that will exclude that driver to drive a hired vehicle unless it has automatic transmission. AU & NZ licences are agreeable, subject to a £500 excess. US or Canadian licences can only be accepted with prior driving experience in the UK & upon prior approval. Please contact us before booking.

No persons who have had their insurance declined and/or renewal refused and/or special insurance terms imposed as a result of claims experience and/or have had their insurance cover cancelled by and Motor insurer.
No persons engaged wholly or partly in professional entertainment or professional sports persons.
No jockeys and persons connected with racing, gaming industry or press of any sort.
No foreign service personnel other than persons holding a full UK/EU licence for 2 years or more.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

All drivers will be required to produce the following documents prior to hire, or the hire will be refused.

Copy of the photo card drivers’ license front and rear (address & ID must be up to date).
Cleared a traceable security deposit in the name or account of the main driver (BACS, Credit/Debit Card, PayPal, Bank Transfer).
Signed rental agreement (completed at time of collection).
UK license holders must provide a DVLA check code number which is valid on the first day of hire and can be obtained from the DVLA website at https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence. Once generated the code will be valid for 21 days.
Non UK license holders/residents must provide 1 other form of photographic identification in addition to the photo card drivers’ license.
You must provide a total of 2 proofs of address from the following: 1x primary and 1x secondary, or 2x primary proof of address.

An annual council tax bill will be accepted. All other documents must be dated within 90 days of the hire date. The address & name on your license must match both documents.

Unlimited additional drivers allowed. All the hire insurance company terms and conditions of hire, and all conditions will apply in full to all additional drivers.

DRIVING IN THE EU

From 1st August 2021, Green Cards will no longer be mandatory for driving within EU. A VE103 certificate is mandatory if you plan to take the vehicle into Europe. Visit www.gov.uk/taking-vehicles-out-of- uk/for-less-than-12-months for more information. Application forms can be supplied after booking.

The insurance excess is £1,000 for the 4 & 6 Berth Motorhomes & £1,500 for the 4 berth Campervan. In the event of an accident this is taken from the Security Deposit.

In order to secure your dates we ask for a £300 non refundable booking deposit.

We are happy for you to pay the remaining balance however you wish as long as full payment is received 30 days prior to the date of the hire.

Payment can be made either by card on our web site, credit or debit card in person or over the phone or by bank transfer.

If notification is received more than 30 days before the start of the rental a full refund will be given minus the £300 non-refundable booking deposit.

If notification is received less than 30 days before the start of the rental all monies paid are non-refundable and the hirer will still be liable for any outstanding balance.

Yes, we recommend that you allow an hour for the handover. During this time we will provide you with a detailed demonstration on the various functions and facilities of your motorhome. We encourage you to ask questions as we want you to leave feeling happy and confident with how to operate your motorhome. Each vehicle has its own manual on board for you to refer to should you need to and failing that we are only a phone call away.

The motorhome can be collected from the town of Hartlepool in the North East of England. TS25

All drivers MUST be present upon collection. You will need to bring with you a credit or debit card for the payment of the refundable security deposit (if not already paid via cheque or bank transfer).

As standard we can arrange for collections from 8am onwards. Returns are between 8am - 12 mid day. If you require an out of hours collection or return please contact us to arrange prior to booking. An additional fee of £50 is charged per collection or return and the vehicle can be returned no later than 6pm.

Yes, you can leave your vehicle at our collection point free of charge. It will be stored inside our secure business unit.

Well behaved pets are allowed with a maximum of 2. In addition to the standard terms and conditions, the following rules apply when a pet is present in our motorhome:

• The vehicle is returned in a clean and tidy condition as if a pet was never present. Should this not be the case, additional cleaning charges and upholstery cleaning charges will apply.
• Pets are not left in the vehicle unattended.
• Pets are not allowed on any of the soft furnishings or upholstery (this includes the beds, seats/sofas)
• You agree to cover the cost of all damage caused by a pet, even if it exceeds the security deposit.

Yes, the company you book through will just usually ask for the registration number and length of vehicle. Please refer to our Motorhome Details page for details.

Yes however the refundable security deposit is increased by £500 above the standard deposit amount.

Our 6 berth motorhome's fuel tank is 60 litres which will get you around 370 miles averaging around 28 mpg.

Our 4 berth Campervan's fuel tank is 70 litres which will get you around 420 miles averaging around 29 mpg.

Yes you can. The vehicle is insured and covered against breakdown in all of Europe. As a bonus mileage is also unlimited! Please note you will require a VE103 certificate which we will apply for you on your behalf. This comes at an additional cost of £15. Please tick this option when booking.

Yes it can. Some countries such as Germany & Sweden for example require that winter tyres are used during winter months. Please request when booking if required.
